The Bury Saints who play in Great Britain’s Division 2, are hosting Holland’s Rotterdam 010 Trojans this weekend in a game billed as the Movember Bowl. The game, to be played at the Rugby Club Thetford in Thetford, England, is in aid of the Movember Foundation, a charity which works to support men’s health, and research into Testicular and Prostate Cancer.
The Trojans, who play in the Dutch top division, hosted the game last year coming away with a 19-6 victory. For the Saints, who finished undefeated in the SFC 2 East in 2015, the 2014 game was one of the highlights of the year.
The partnership with the Bury Saints in England is applauded by the Trojans:
“By working together in various ways, including joint training camps and friendly matches, we are able to share and learn from each other. This weekend there will be a lot of Dutch and British international players on the playing field and we are working on international relations that will help the promotion of football. “
The game takes place Saturday November 7. Kick off is at 6:30 PM. If you wish to donate to the Movember Foundation please go to this link.
The name “Movember” basically stands for “Moustaches in November.”
