The Ravensburg Razorbacks of the German Football League have re-signed European passer Alexander Kronborg.
New offensive coordinator Clayton Turner is excited to have the Nordic passer back in southern Germany as the Razorbacks look to build off of their inaugural 5-5 season in Germany’s top league:
“I’m in Europe to develop local talent and give them the opportunity to make their mark. Alex is the epitome of such a homegrown talent. He’s a humble, hardworking, and intelligent payer who is ready to do whatever it takes to be successful.
The 6’4,” 215 pound signal-caller played in limited spots for the Razorbacks last year as he split time with starter Ryan Deal. Now it seems as if Ravensburg will give the reins to the Danish passer for the 2022 season. Kronborg was one of the GFL’s most efficient passers throwing for 10 touchdowns and 923 yards, on a 64.6% completion percentage, with only two interceptions.
The Danish national team quarterback, has started for the Aalborg 89ers for the past six years, leading his team to the playoffs in each year. During the COVD-19 delayed and shortened season, Kronborg guided the 89ers to a 2-2 record which included an upset 34-26 win over the defending champion Triangle Razorbacks. In 2019, he threw for a league-leading 3,702 yards and 52 touchdowns while the year before, in 11 games he recorded 2,491 yards passing and 33 touchdowns in the air.
