The Potsdam Royals have signed former Penn State and JMU receiver Brandon Polk. The division talent spent time with the LA Rams and ran a 4.28 40-yard dash at his pro-day. Now he looks to take his speed versatility to a Royals team eager to contend for a German Bowl this September:

The 5’9″, 175-pound, Ashburn, Virginia native spent four seasons at Penn State (NCAA DI FBS) playing a versatile role for the Nittany Lions. During his four seasons at State College, he contributed on special teams and as a reserve receiver and running back. In 40 games Polk accumulated 159 rushing yards, 367 receiving yards, and 304 return yards to go along with five total touchdowns.

In his final year of college football, Polk moved back to Virginia transferring to James Madison University (NCAA DI FCS). Taking advantage of his last college season, Polk had a breakout season catching 74 passes for 1,179 yards and 11 touchdowns. The speedster also contributed 43 rushing yards and 360 kick return yards ending the season with 1,582 all-purpose yards, averaging 98 yards a game. Polk and the Dukes posted a 14-2 record loosing the national title game 20-28 to North Dakota State.

Following the standout 2019 season, Polk impressed scouts again running a blazing fast 4.28 40-yard dash at his pro-day. The speedster was signed as an undrafted free agent by the LA Rams but was waived prior to the regular season.

The Royals have added many new faces for the upcoming season, beefing up the trenches with lineman Stefán Stefánsson, Stanley Aronkale, and Robert Sövegjarto. Other players joining the Royals club are Italian linebacker Filipo Fort and Finnish ball carrier Karri Pajarinen. Polk joins receiver fellow division one receiver Jared Wolfe and 2021 league leading rusher Jake Mayon in the Royals offense. However, the quarterback position remain unannounced in Potsdam.
