Germany’s Marburg Mercenaries Sign QB Emmanuel Lewis
The Marburg Mercenaries continue to upgrade their team in preparation for the 2017 season in the German Football League with the signing of quarterback Emmanuel Lewis.
The Mercenaries have already announced the signing of Robert Johnson from Mississippi State and Florida’s Michael Taylor.
The 6’2″, 212 lb native of Tulare, California, led the Frankfurt Universe to an undefeated season in 2015 helping them to advance to the German Football League’s top tier in 2016. In that undefeated season, Lewis recorded over 3,300 yards passing, 40 touchdown passes, 600 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns.
In 2016, Lewis served as offensive coordinator at Oakland Technical High School in Oakland, California, helping the Bulldogs to a 5-5 season and a berth in the playoffs.
Lewis spent his college career at Ball State and New Mexico Highlands where he impressed NFL draft prognosticators. As Pete Davidson of Rotobahn stated:
…”he moves as well as any QB in the 2013 draft class and throws the football with authority too.”
Check out Emmanuel Lewis’s highlights from Frankfurt’s 15-0 season in 2015.
