Stats leaders in German Football League pretty consistent as season winds down
The German Football League is heading into the home stretch with the final third of the season looming and the offensive stats leaders have stayed fairly consistent.
After 11 rounds of play in the 14 game GFL season, the leaders in the three key offensive categories, passing, rushing and receiving yardage have only undergone one change as Chris McClendon of the Bruanschweig New Yorker Lions has taken over the rushing lead. The Marburg Mercenries are on a roll and are winners of six of their last seven thanks to the passing of Jake Sullivan who tops the GFL. Munich Cowboys WR Jaylen Zachery has held onto his receiving yardage lead.
What is also clear is that no one team is dominating the stats although two teams remain undefeated, the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns and Braunschweig New Yorker Lions.
The Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns have three players on the list while the Hildesheim Invaders, Munich Cowboys, Stuttgart Scorpions and Marburg Mercenaries all have two representatives each among the Top 5 in each of the three categories. Behind them with one player each are the Cologne Crocodiles, Braunschweig New Yorker Lions and Dresden Monarchs. . Teams without any players include the Allgäu Comets, Ingolstadt Dukes, Kiel Baltic Hurricanes, Kirchdorf Wildcats, Berlin Rebels, Dusseldorf Panther, Potsdam Royals, and, surprisingly, the Frankfurt Universe.
