Germany: Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns sign WR Austin Brock

The Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns have announced the signing of standout wide receiver Austin Brock for the 2025 German Football League season.

The 5-11, 185 pound, 24 year old from Gainesville, Georgia spent the 2024 season playing for the Kuopio Steelers in Finland’s Maple League. He had an outstanding season finishing as the leading receiver in the league in terms of overall yardage after catching 72 passes (2nd in league) for 1,032 yards and nine touchdowns. His 86 receiving yards per game was also second. He was voted to the All Maple League team in his rookie season and also named as the best receiver in the Maple League in 2024.

He also played one game at cornerback for the Steelers recording two tackles and one PBU.

The Steelers finished the regular season with a 9-3 record but were eliminated in the semifinals.

Brock graduated from Mount St. Joseph University (NCAA Div. III) in 2023 and in his five seasons caught 138 passes for 1,874 yards and 22 touchdowns.

The Unicorns finished first in the GFL South in 2024 but were surprisingly eliminated in the quarterfinals by the Hildesheim Invaders. This was the first season since 2014 that Schwäbisch Hall did not play in the championship game.
