Germany: Ravensburg Razorbacks re-sign former Post University QB Broghean McGovern

The Ravensburg Razorbacks have re-signed quarterback Broghean McGovern for the 2025 German Football League season.

The 6-5, 220 pound native of Haverhill, Massachusetts finished the 2024 season as the sixth leading passer in the GFL having thrown for 2,685 yards and 32 touchdowns. He led the Razorbacks to a 7-5 record good for second place in the GFL South and a quarterfinal berth improving from a 2-10 record the year before. With the the 26 year old behind center, Ravensburg improved from being the worst passing team in the GFL in 2023 to the sixth and tied for third in passing touchdowns.

McGovern arrived in Ravensburg following an excellent season at Post University (NCAA Div. II). In 10 games he completed 149 of 304 pass attempts for 1,918  yards and 14 touchdowns. He was also the designated punter booting the ball 53 times for 2,026 yards, an average of 38.2 yards a punt. Prior to his season at Post, McGovern spent four seasons at Bryant University.
