Germany: Braunschweig New Yorker Lions sign Scottish OL Daniel Kane
The Braunschweig New Yorker Lions have announced the signing of Scottish offensive lineman Daniel Kane.
The 6’6″, 310 pound, 22 year old native of Inverness, Scotland spent the 2023 season with the Okanagan Sun who play in the Canadian Junior Football League. The Sun finished the season with a 9-1 regular season record but were eliminated in the BC Conference final by the Westshore Rebels.
Kane originally arrived in Braunschweig during the 2022 German Football League season where he helped the Lions reach the GFL quarterfinals.
From 2019-2022 he was a member of the University of Stirling Clansmen.
He started playing football as a 15 year old for the Highland Wildcats in his hometown of Inverness.
