Germany: Berlin Rebels sign former Berlin Adler DB Antonio Smith

The Berlin Rebels of the German Football League have announced the signing of former Shepherd University (NCAA Div. II) and Berlin Adler defensive back Antonio Smith.

The 6′, 203 pound native of California, Maryland spent the 2021 and 2022 seasons with the Berlin Adler where he amassed 84 tackles and five interceptions. He was a key on defense in the Adler’s return to the German Football League in 2022. Smith came to Germany originally in 2019 with the Würzburg Panthers (Div. 5 regional).

The Rebels finished fourth in the GFL North in 2023 with a 6-6 record reaching the quarterfinals where they were eliminated by eventual finalists, the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns.

Smith is excited to be returning to play in Berlin:
