German Football League stats leaders stay out in front
The German Football League has three weeks to go in the regular season and the offensive stats leaders have stayed consistent.
After 12 rounds of play in the 14 game GFL season, the leaders in the three key offensive categories, passing, rushing and receiving yardage have stayed out in front. Chris McClendon of the Bruanschweig New Yorker Lions has a secure rushing lead. Marburg Mercenries quarterback Jake Sullivan tops the GFL in overall yardage and average yards per game. Munich Cowboys WR Jaylen Zachery has held onto his receiving yardage lead.
What is also clear is that no one team is dominating the stats although two teams remain undefeated, the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns and Braunschweig New Yorker Lions.
The Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns have three players on the list while the Hildesheim Invaders,Munich Cowboys, Stuttgart Scorpions and Marburg Mercenaries all have two representatives each among the Top 5 in each of the three categories. Behind them with one player each are the Allgäu Comets, Braunschweig New Yorker Lions and Dresden Monarchs. . Teams without any players include the Cologne Crocodiles, Ingolstadt Dukes, Kiel Baltic Hurricanes, Kirchdorf Wildcats, Berlin Rebels, Dusseldorf Panther, Potsdam Royals, and, surprisingly, the Frankfurt Universe.
Passing
Marburg Mercenaries QB Jake Sullivan continues to lead the passing leaderboard after throwing for 341 yards in a loss to the Allgau Comets. He now has 3,679 yards in 11 games. Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns QB Jadrian Clark is 2nd with 3,033 yards and a league-best 39 TDs while Brady Bolles of the Munich Cowboys has slipped to 3rd with 2,862 yards. Casey Therriault from the Hildesheim Invaders has moved up into 4th with 2,854 and Stuttgart Scorpions QB Michel Eubank has 2,706 yards passing in 11 games and is now 5th.
Rushing
Chris McClendon of the Braunschweig New Yorker Lions seems to have a stranglehold on first in the rushing ranks adding 147 yards to his total giving him 914 so far. Gennadiy Adams of the Potsdam Royals remains 2nd with his 774 yards and league-leading 9 TDs. Comets running back Lennies McFerren is climbing up the list and now occupies 3rd with 538 yards while Marburg Mercenaries RB Triston McCathern is the 4th leading rusher in the GFL with 653 yards. Stuttgart Scorpions RB Giacomo De Pauli has dropped down into 5th with 637 yards.
Receiving
Despite being idle last weekend, Jaylen Zachery of the Munich Cowboys remains the leading receiver in the GFL and has hauled in 1,446 yards in 11 games while Kevonn Mabon of the Dresden Monarchs is creeping closer but is still 2nd with 1,242. Hildesheim Invaders WR Nathaniel Morris is now the 3rd leading receiver in the GFL with after catching 8 passes for 130 yards last week against Kiel. He now has 1,055 yards and 10 TDs. Unicorns receiver, Nate Robitaille has jumped up into 4th after a 200 yard, 3 TD game in the 42-34 win over Frankfurt. He has 1,053 yards and 14 TDs.
