German Football League reaches season’s halfway mark with a pair of top tier games
The German Football League hits the midpoint of the season for most teams this weekend with the only two remaining unbeaten teams in the GFL putting their winning streaks on the line.
In the GFL North, the #1 Braunschweig New Yorker Lions (5-0) will take on perhaps their biggest rivals for the crown in the #2 Potsdam Royals (5-1) while in the GFL South, the #1 Allgäu Comets (5-0) will play host to the #2 Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns (3-2). In other action, the Ingolstadt Dukes (2-3) will travel to face the Straubing Spiders (2-4) in a GFL South clash, the winless Marburg Mercenaries (0-5) will try to snap their losing streak when they take on the Munich Cowboys (1-4) on the road in Munich. The Saarland Hurricanes (3-2) will host the Ravensburg Razorbacks (1-5) in another GFL South matchup while the Berlin Adler (2-4) badly need a win against the visiting Kiel Baltic Hurricanes (1-4) in order to start the climb back up into playoff contention.
