With only three weeks left in the German Football League regular season, eight of the 15 teams will be in action this weekend.
The Potsdam Royals (9-0) take their unbeaten record to Hildesheim to face the Invaders (7-2) in a battle between the GFL North #1 and #3 teams. Potsdam won the first game between the two this year, the season opener, 56-21. The Munich Cowboys (4-5) and Saarland Hurricanes (2-7) face each other for the first time in a game that is important to the Cowboys who are battling with the Allgäu Comets and Straubing Spiders for the playoffs. Meanwhile, the Paderborn Dolphins (3-5) host the Dresden Monarchs (7-1) in the second meeting between the two. Dresden took the first one 38-7. Finally, the Braunschweig New Yorker Lions (5-4) head to Berlin to take on the Berlin Adler (4-5) in the first game between the two teams this season. There are huge playoff implications in this game. An Adler win would pull them ahead of Braunschweig for the fourth and final playoff berth in the GFL North.
