The Marseille Blue Stars who play in the French Federation of American Football’s Elite division have announced the signing of quarterback Trevor Knight for the 2020 season.

He was hand picked out of high school by UNH head coach Sean McDonnell:
“We viewed (Knight) as an athlete coming out of high school. We knew he was probably the most talented athlete in the state and we felt if he couldn’t play quarterback he could play running back, he could play receiver, maybe even defensive back. That’s something he hadn’t done, but he was so athletic and so explosive and when we went down to Nashua to those (one-day camps) we used to do in the state we were just very impressed with everything he was doing — running, catching, throwing — but when he was throwing the ball there was a lot of tight spin, so we knew we were going to give him a shot at quarterback.
“Once he got into open space and got going he was as good of a player running in this league — especially as a quarterback — as we’ve seen in a long time. More importantly at UNH probably the best we’ve ever had running it.”
Blue Stars offensive coordinator Mele J. Mosqueda:
“We are very fortunate to have signed Trevor for the upcoming 2020 Elite Season. In him, we have not only found one of the most talented and coveted QB’s in the 2019 Class, but also an amazing young man who will be a tremendous leader for this team and is an immediate impact for our offense.”
