Former Samsung Frankfurt Universe QB Marcus McDade gets NFL shot with Buffalo Bills
As reported by Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, the Buffalo Bills invited former Samsung Frankfurt Universe quarterback Marcus McDade for a workout Monday.
The Fresno State product, played for the Universe in 2016, leading them to a 12-3 record in their first year in the German Football League, arguably the top league in Europe. He threw for 2,633 yards and 33 touchdowns and rushed for 585 yards and seven touchdowns.
Bills worked out QB Marcus McDade today. Backed up Derek Carr at Fresno. Played for Samsung Frankfurt Universe in Germany. Deep dig for Buf.

As Garafolo shares in his tweet, McDade was one of four quarterbacks who backed up current Raider QB Derek Carr at Fresno State.
CBS Sports reported in 2013 McDade, who was recruited as a pro-style quarterback, struggled with the no-huddle attack with the Bulldogs and ultimately transferred out and went to Sacramento State.
McDade most recently played in the Indoor Football League for the Spokane Empire.
Even though he might have left the program, McDade left quite the impression on Carr.
He has a cannon! Good dude too! https://t.co/ceEVTcilb3
