According to Football Scoop and multiple sources, Tennessee State defensive end Latrelle Lee punched his strength coach, T.J. Greenstone, knocking him to the ground during a game last weekend between TSU and Southeast Missouri.
Lee, a senior from Dothan, Alabama, was dismissed from the team by head coach Rod Reed and expelled from the school after hitting Greenstone twice in the head and knocking him down.
According to The Tennessean, Greenstone, a former Vanderbilt player is responsible for keeping players from getting too close to the sideline to avoid a penalty. The TSU offense was on the field when the incident occurred.
Lee, 6-foot-2, 240 pounds, was majoring in criminal justice. He was a part-time starter over the past two seasons. He did not play in Saturday’s game. Lee had recorded a total of 18 tackles including 3.5 for loss this season. He played in a total of 16 games during his freshman and sophomore seasons.
