Finland: Kuopio Steelers sign All Conference NCAA LB Adam Callahan

The Kuopio Steelers have announced the signing of linebacker Adam Callahan for the 2025 Maple League season in Finland.

The 5-10, 215 pound, 21 year old native of Gardner, Kansas is coming off an excellent four year career at William Jewell College (NCAA, Div. 2) in Kansas City, Missouri. In 43 games, he notched 321 tackles including 37.5 tackles for loss.

The 2024 captain of the Cardinals was named to the All Great Lakes Valley Conference team three times (2022, 2023 & 2024) and was second in the nation in solo tackles, 12th in total tackles and 16th in forced fumbles. He is the all-time career leader in solo tackles at William Jewell, all time leader in solo tackles, all time leader in forced fumbles and all time leader in fumbles recovered. He was also named to the NCAA Div. II All-Region First Team.

The Steelers finished the 2024 Maple League season with a 9-3 regular season record but were eliminated in the semifinals by the Seinäjoki Crocodiles.
