The Helsinki Roosters of the Finnish Maple League have found their quarterback for the 2023 season in signing Canadian quarterback Dimitri Sinodinos.
Roosters offensive coordinator Daniel Stanzel is thrilled to have the talented passer in Red and White next season.

Sinodinos, 25, comes to Finland after a solid collegiate career in Quebec, Canada playing for the McGill University Redmen. The 5’11 200-pound passer played four seasons for the Redmen throwing for 3,488 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 21 interceptions, as an off-and-on starter. On the ground, he also added 264 yards and three touchdowns.
After his senior year in 2021, he was named on USports East-West Bowl roster In March 2022 he participated in CFL´s Eastern Regional Combine where he recorded overall combine score of 85.08/100, his short shuttle time (4,06s) was the best across all combines. He also added a 4.67 40-yard dash and
Sinodinos also became the fifth McGill player selected to participate in the Canadian Quarterback Internship Program and attended the Montreal Alouettes training camp (May 2019).
Sinodinos now joins a Roosters squad led by head coach Juha Hakala that is eager to get back to the championship game in 2023. Helsinki has also signed veteran defensive lineman William Sewell who has been working with the team as a strength coach all winter.
