The Wroclaw Panthers of the European Football League have signed American receiver Malik Stanley.
The newcomer replaces Kavontae Turbin in the lineup who was drafted by the USFL earlier this month. Stanley has big shoes to fill as Turbin was one of the league’s most dynamic weapons.
Stanley on going overseas and joining the Panthers:
“I’m excited to be joining the team this year and I know it’s going to be special. One of my goals is to bring a championship back to Poland and excitement to this offense.”
The 6’2″, 220-pound receiver recently took part in the Hub football camp, where he showed off his skills alongside former Wroclaw Panthers quarterback Lucas O’Conner and other ELF alumni. The big-bodied pass catcher drew praise from coaches for his reliable hands and massive catch radius:

“That guy’s played inside, outside. I would say has some of the best hands on this football team. He throws those big mitts out there, it’s hard to get that ball out.” – Skip Holtz

The Tecumseh, Kansas native spent 2021 playing indoor football for the Tucson Sugar Skulls catching nine passes for 82 yards and two touchdowns. Stanley began his college career with one season at Coffeyville Community College, before transferring to the University of South Alabama for two years.
During his junior season at South Alabama, Stanley totaled 27 receptions for 324 yards and three touchdowns. He then finished his college career with one season at Louisiana Tech. Stanley saw time in all 13 games, posting a team-high 649 yards on 40 catches and three touchdowns.
The Panthers were not the only team to be affected by the USFL draft as recent Vienna Vikings signee Diondre Overton and Raiders Tirol defensive back Dartez Jacobs were also picked up by the league, leaving teams looking for replacements with three months to go before kickoff.
The physical receiver joins a talented offense in Wroclaw that featured quarterback Justice Hansen (Arkansas State), French running back Philéas Pasqualini, and a talented group offensive linemen. Expect the Panthers to be one of the ELF’s top title contenders this summer.
