The European League of Football will kick off the 2024 season next summer with 17 teams from nine nations.
The Championship Game will take place in the VELTINS Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, home of the FC Schalke 04 soccer club.
In the Western Conference, the reigning champions, the Rhein Fire, will face the Cologne Centurions, Frankfurt Galaxy and Hamburg Sea Devils from Germany, ELF newcomers, the Madrid Bravos from Spain and the Paris Musketeers from France.
The Central Conference will include the Barcelona Dragons (Spain). the Helvetic Guards (Switzerland), the Milano Seamen (Italy), the Raiders Tirol (Austria), as well as two German teams, the Munich Ravens and Stuttgart Surge.
Five teams will battle for the coveted playoff berths in the Eastern Conference: the Berlin Thunder (Germany), Fehérvár Enthroners (Hungary), the Prague Lions (Czech Republic), the Vienna Vikings (Austria), and Poland’s Wrocław Panthers.
The teams from the Eastern Conference each have two Interconference games on the schedule: the Berlin Thunder face the Paris Musketeers and Rhein Fire, both from the Western Conference. The Fehérvár Enthroners from the Eastern Conference will play the Cologne Centurions from the Western Conference and the Milano Seamen (Central). The Prague Lions (Eastern) will take on the Hamburg Sea Devils (Western) and Munich Ravens (Central). The Vienna Vikings (Eastern) will face two Central Conference teams, the Helvetic Guards, and the Raiders Tirol (“Battle of Austria”). The Wrocław Panthers will square off against the Frankfurt Galaxy (Western) and Stuttgart Surge (Central). There will also be a Spanish showdown – “El Clásico” – between the Barcelona Dragons (Central) and the Madrid Bravos (Western).
