After seven exciting weeks of action, we have reached the halfway point in the European League of Football (ELF). As such we thought we’d take a look at the front runners for the league’s various prestigious awards through the league’s midway point.
Of course, like any football league offense remains in the focal point of award season. Therefore, we’ll start off the mid-season awards by highlighting AFI’s mid-season MVP, Offensive Player of the Year, and Rookie of the Year.
Let’s take a look at who our panel selected
Offensive Rookie of the Year – Theo Landström
Landstrom has been a standout receiver this year for the Barcelona Dragons racking up 575 yards and seven touchdowns. The 6’2 Swede has been the Dragons go to guy week in and week out making several highlight catches. His long arms, solid hands, and vertical jumping ability make him a mismatch in the redzone often making big time catches against American defensive backs.
The Swedish national team player certainly has been the league’s top offensive rookie so far this season. Fans can expect Landström to continue to play well as he has a chance to be the ELF’s first European to produce 1,000 receiving yards.

Offensive Player of the Year: Tony Tate
A late addition for the Wroclaw Panthers signed little known Tate just before the season’s kickoff in late May. Since then, Tate has proven to be arguably the league’s top receiver to this point racking up 13 touchdowns (1st) and 782 yards (2nd) through seven games for the Panthers. Tate has dominated the highlight reel week in and week out practically living in the endzone since his breakout three touchdown performance in week one.
The Western Illinois (NCAA DI FCS) product has not been looking back as he put up another solid game last week with 85 yards against the defending champion Vienna Vikings. Look for Tate to continue to be a focal point of the offense as Wroclaw fights for a playoff spot.

Most Valuable Player: Jadrian Clark
One of the easiest selections for our panel writers for the league’s MVP to this point. The Rhein Fire quarterback not only has his team at a perfect 7-0, his stats resemble those of a madden career mode on rookie. The well traveled veteran passer was once unwanted by the league following the 2021 season. Now he’s looking like the MVP of ELF while leading the league’s best team to a perfect record.
Clark has thrown for 2,295 and 32 touchdowns leading the league in both yards and touchdowns. He is currently on pace to throw for 4,590 yards and 64 touchdowns. Clark has not only been racking up the stat’s he’s prevented turnovers throwing only five interceptions while maintaining a 66% completion percentage. Better yet, clark has found a way to keep all his weapons involved throwing touchdowns to 13 different receivers through seven games.
Jadrian Clark finds his OG Leander Wiegand for the Touchdown. BIG MAN LOVE 🫶
