ELF: Vienna Vikings sign Elon University DB Cole J. Coleman

The Vienna Vikings of the European League of Football have announced the signing of Elon University (NCAA Div. 1, FCS) defensive back Cole J. Coleman

The 24-year-old Coleman, a native of Raleigh, North Carolina and son of former North Carolina State and Tennessee Titans receiver Chris Coleman, spent five years (2018-2022) playing for the Elon University Phoenix . In his 42 games, he recorded 281 tackles including nine tackles for loss as well as three interceptions. He was named first team All Coastal Athletic Association conference in 2021 and earned multiple Defensive Player of the Week selections that same season.

He signed with the Indianapolis Colts in 2023 but was released during training camp. He then was picked up by the Saskatchewan Roughriders for the 2024 season but released just prior to the regular season.
