The Tirol Raiders have announced that they have signed American defensive back Divine Buckrham for the 2023 European League of Football season.
Buckrham spent last season with the Potsdam Royals of the German Football League. In 12 games with the Royals, he recorded 73 total tackles, seven passes defended, three interceptions, and one forced fumble. Buckrham was part of a dominant Potsdam team that finished the regular season at 10-0 before losing in the league championship game against the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns.
After his season in Germany, he joined the San Antonio Brahmas of the XFL. He spent the 2023 XFL season on and off of the Brahmas active roster. He appeared in six contests for the team and recorded four total tackles. He was released last week after the Brahmas season ended, and now has quickly found a new home in Austria.
The 24 year old is originally from Queens, New York, and played collegiately at a pair of programs at the Division I FCS level. He started his college career at Lehigh University, where he spent parts of four seasons. He transferred to Lamar University for his senior season in 2021 and had his most productive season there. In 11 games for the Cardinals, he recorded 52 total tackles along with eight pass breakups and one interception.
With the signing of Buckrham, the Raiders filled their last North American import slot, and now are completely set for their season that kicks off on June 4th against the Munich Ravens. The Raiders were the last ELF team to fill all their import slots, so now every team in the league has their roster pretty much set in stone barring anything unforeseen.
👋 WELCOME IN BLACK, DIVINE BUCKRHAM!
Divine Buckrham joins the RAIDERS Tirol and is expected to strengthen the secondary of the ELF team. The 23-year-old US-American could already gain experience in Europe last year
