Sunday will see the undefeated Rhein Fire host the 11-2 Frankfurt Galaxy as the two teams battle for a spot in the European League of Football Championship Game.
Having dominated all competition and being 2-0 against the Galaxy this season, the Rhein Fire will enter the game as clear favorites. The two teams last faced off in week 14 when Frankfurt gave the Fire their toughest test yet, falling just short, losing by a score of 48-38.
Led by quarterback Jadrian Clark, Rhein boast the highest scoring offense by a landslide, racking up 78 total touchdowns in comparison to Frankfurt’s 47. Clark has had the most dominant season a passer has had in the history of the league, passing for 3,586 yards and a mind-boggling 53 touchdowns in his 12 appearances. As if their passing attack wasn’t scary enough, their backfield is headlined by the ELF’s All-Time leading rusher in Glen Toonga, who sits third in rushing despite participating in just eight games. His 926 yards and nine rushing touchdowns show that the British back is still someone to be feared around the league.
Frankfurt are coming off a comfortable win over the Thunder in the wildcard round as they beat Berlin by a score of 20-3.

Other than from two losses to Rhein Fire, the Galaxy have had a perfect season, dealing with every team put in their way. Although quarterback Jakeb Sullivan has failed to replicate his prior success in the league, finding himself outside the top 10 in most passing stats, Frankfurt have managed to average an impressive 31.8 points per game. Star wideout Reece Horn has caught 61 balls for 875 yards and eight scores, while homegrown hero Nico Strahmann has proven to be a player to watch, racking up 48 receptions for 669 yards and eight touchdowns receiving.
The Galaxy will look to upset the undefeated Rhein Fire, who will be aiming for their first ever championship appearance against the Surge.
