ELF: Nordic Storm sign talented Swedish RB Alexander Kennedy Chaanhing

The Nordic Storm continued to gather some of Sweden and Denmark’s top homegrown talent adding running back Alexander Kennedy Chaanhing, aka Young Kennedy.

Chaanhing was the second leading rusher in the Swedish Superserien in 2024 playing for the championship-winning Carlstad Crusaders. He carried the ball 65 times for 486 yards and five touchdowns. In the title game against the Stockholm Mean Machines, he was unstoppable rushing for 185 yards and four touchdowns in leading Carlstad to a 51-22 victory.

The 6-1, 210 pound native of Ystad, Sweden is a product of Sweden’s top prep program, RIG Academy. He has been a key member of Sweden’s junior and senior national teams and in 2023, he was named MVP of the game against Finland.

Chaanhing played for the Tyresö Royal Crowns in 2022.

He recently attended several camps looking to be recruited for college football in the USA and impressed athletically running a 4.5 40-yard dash.
