The Berlin Thunder have announced the signing of wide receiver Jeremiah Webb for the 2025 European League of Football season.
The 6-0, 196 pound native of Chicago built his collegiate resume at the University of South Alabama, a Division I FBS program in the Sun Belt Conference. Over three seasons, Webb developed into a versatile weapon for the Jaguars. In his senior year he was the second leading receiver on the team tallying 649 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 36 catches. Known for his crisp route-running and breakaway speed, Webb became a leader in the locker room and a key figure in South Alabama’s passing attack. He was named MVP of the 2024 IS4S Salute to Veterans Bowl game after hauling in six passes for 182 yards and touchdowns of 52 and 48 yards. South Alabama defeated Western Michigan 30-23 in that game.

Berlin Thunder’s strategic signing
The Berlin Thunder of the European League of Football (ELF) secured Webb as a cornerstone of their 2025 roster rebuild. Under head coach Jag Bal, who has returned for his second stint with the franchise, the Thunder aim to improve on last season’s 5-7 record. Bal, lauded for his player development acumen, emphasized Webb’s pass catching ability as critical to modernizing Berlin’s offense.
The ELF, entering its fifth season, continues to attract global talent, with Webb joining a growing list of U.S. college standouts leveraging the league as a springboard.
