Egypt Stages First Ever All Star Game – Pro Bowl 2015
The Egyptian Federation of American Football is staging its masterpiece event today as for the first time ever they are holding the 2015 Egyptian Pro Bowl pitting the best players from throughout Egypt against each other.
Drawn from the seven teams who play in the Egyptian National Football League (ENFL), the game brings together an East and a West team. Head coach of the West team will be Jeff Thompson (head coach of the Cairo Wolves), who also helped coach the Slovakian national team in 2015. On the other side of the field is Theo Waters head coach of the East team. Waters has spent time in South Africa coaching and working on projects that will help bring back sustainable American Football Programs to that country. .
The players have been selected on their performance during the 2015 season and include East team captains Omar Ebaid, Ashraf Mohamed and Ahmed El-Refaey while Mohamed Helmy, Waleed Hamed and Andrew Gabra are on the other side for the West.
The game is being heavily promoted in the American football community and a large crowd is expected. For those who have not purchased tickets as yet, they will be available at the door. Game time is 3 PM.
