South of France Champs Nice Dauphins Sign Running Back For 2017

France’s southern conference champions their running back for 2017.

Eddie Elliot II was one of the most talented offensive players for West Chester University spending time at running back and wide receiver throughout his college career.  The quick and elusive offensive weapon will join the Fédération Française de Football Américain (FFFA) Elite team from the south of France, the Nice Dauphins.

Elliot, 5’11” 185 lbs, has been shoes fill. In 2016 the Dauphins running back Rondell White led France’s top division in rushing yards and Dauphins have brought Elliot in to fill the void. In 6 games in the regular season White carried the ball 165 times for 1,284 yards and 12 TDs. He scored another 4 TDs on the way to the French title game.

American Football International chatted with Elliot about his signing.

AFI: How did you come to sign with the Nice Dauphins?

Eddie Elliot: I came to sign with Nice Dauphins through France MVP and Dauphins running back Rondell White. He showed the coaches my film and they loved me. That, along with a lot of other strings being pulled, made it all to come together for me.

AFI: What do you think you can bring to Nice in 2017?

EE: I believe I’ll bring a lot of big plays, physicality and versatility to the Nice offense along with the will to win A championship in 2017.
