He had been a walk on at Indiana but impressed the coaches enough to earn a scholarship. In his four year career he finished with 115 receptions for 1,330 yards and 10 touchdowns in 35 games (24 starts).
He became the 19th Indiana Hoosier to reach 100 catches and 1,000 yards and shares second on the program’s career list with two punt return touchdowns. Paige returned 39 punts for 360 yards (11th in school annals), rushed eight times for 47 yards with one TD, and completed 2-of-4 passes for 21 yards and one score. He collected 1,737 career all-purpose yards and started all 24 games over his junior and senior seasons and was an honorable mention All-Big Ten (coaches and media) as well as team captain.
The Dresden Monarchs have been a perennial German Football League title contender for the past half decade and reached the German Bowl final in 2013 losing narrowly to the Braunschweig New Yorker Lions. The team reached the quarterfinals for the sixth time in six years last season.
