Denmark: Copenhagen Towers dismantle Triangle Razorbacks for win #9

The Copenhagen Towers had no trouble downing the number three team in Denmark, the Triangle Razorbacks, manhandling them 49-14 in the next to last regular season game for both teams.

Copenhagen broke open the game in the third quarter scoring four unanswered touchdowns to pull away for the win.

Towers quarterback Randy Schroeder threw six touchdown passes with wide receiver Philip Thue catching two of them. The other four were hauled in by Jakob Green, Jesper Hansen, Lasse Tor and Aske TroenDayton Winn scored on a 30 yard touchdown run as well.

For the Razorbacks, quarterback Thomas Linnemann tossed a touchdown pass to German receiver Nico Lester and running back Jairus Moll scored a rushing touchdown.

The Towers opened the scoring with Schroeder finding Thue from three yards out but Triangle equalized in the second quarter when Moll scored.

Winn regained the lead for the Towers, finding a gap and scampering 30 yards for the major and then Schroeder hit Green with a 22 yard touchdown pass to give Copenhagen a 21-7 halftime lead.

On the second possession of the third quarter Linnemann narrowed the lead with an 80 touchdown strike to Lester.

That’s when Copenhagen took full control as Schroeder threw scoring strikes to Thue (for his second) Troen and Hansen to roar out to a 42-14 lead, still in the third quarter.

With the game comfortably in hand, the Towers began substituting but Tor added a final touchdown scoring from 15 yards out.

Copenhagen leads the Danish league with a 9-0 record and one game remaining with the Aarhus Tigers in second at 7-2. Both the Towers and Tigers have already qualified for the semifinals on September 29-30.
