The Ravensburg Razorbacks continue to prepare for the German Football League season with the signing of Danish quarterback Alexander Kronborg.
With the move, the 6’4″, 215 pound, 25-year-old becomes historic as the first ever Danish quarterback to sign with a GFL team as their starter.
Kronborg, the Danish national team quarterback, has started for the Aalborg 89ers for the past six years, leading his team to the playoffs in each year. During the COVD-19 delayed and shortened season, Kronborg guided the 89ers to a 2-2 record which included an upset 34-26 win over the defending champion Triangle Razorbacks. In 2019, he threw for a league-leading 3,702 yards and 52 touchdowns while the year before, in 11 games he recorded 2,491 yards passing and 33 touchdowns in the air.
Needless to say, the young Dane is enthusiastic about the move:
“I’m really looking forward to learning from Coach Clayton. The fact that he and Coach Fandert will be employed as full-time coaches speaks from my point of view for the quality of the football program in Ravensburg.”
