Clark Evans re-signs with Switzerland’s Bern Grizzlies

The Bern Grizzlies, Swiss Bowl finalists in 2021, have re-signed quarterback Clark Evans who will also serve as offensive coordinator.

The 6’4″, 240 pound, 31-year-old Evans led the Grizzlies to a 7-1 record and a berth in the final making it their best season since 2016 when they won the Swiss title.

Evans joined the Grizzlies after playing with the Thonon Black Panthers in France in 2019 and part of 2020 before the season was canceled. Once the 2021 season was also canceled in France, the veteran signal caller signed with Bern.

He had enjoyed an outstanding year with the Black Panthers in 2019 leading them to the title in France while leading the league in rushing too with 1,012 yards. He had played for Switzerland’s Calanda Broncos for the two seasons prior to that, helping them win two straight Swiss championships and in 2018 led them to an undefeated season. He played for Germany’s Dusseldorf Panther in 2016 and spent the 2015 season with the Ljubljana Silverhawks of Slovenia. A native of Tustin, California, Evans played his college football at the University of Hawaii and also one year at Colorado.

“I am very excited to continue my career with the Bern Grizzlies Football Club. I plan to work hard day in and day out to help the Grizzlies Grow into a top American Football Club in Switzerland and Show that we can compete at an international level.”
