The Miskolc Steelers defeated the Budapest Cowbells 19-16 to win the Hungarian championship. The Steelers scored on the final play of the game as Troy Rice returned a kickoff 95 yards following the Cowbells go-ahead touchdown.

The Bern Grizzlies rallied from a two touchdown deficit to down the defending champion Calanda Broncos 42-35 and win Swiss Bowl XXXI in Basel, Switzerland with a crowd of 1,000 people looking on. With the win, Bern claimed the Swiss title for the first time since 2007 and the fifth time in their history.
