The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed veteran Global defensive lineman Valentin Gnahoua out of France.
Gnahoua (6’2-235) was selected by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats with the first overall pick of the 2019 CFL European Draft and spent the last three seasons with the team. He saw action in 38 games, recording one defensive tackle, 11 special teams tackles, one forced fumble, and one blocked punt. Prior to the CFL, the native of Le Mans, France, spent two seasons (2017-18) with the Berlin Rebels of the German Football League and logged 47 tackles and nine sacks in 13 games.
The 28-year-old played one collegiate season (2016) at McGill University, registering 24 tackles, four tackles for loss, one sack and fumble recovery in nine games.
