CFL Combine – Global Prospects from a multitude of countries set to put their talents on display

The Canadian Football League (CFL) and its international partners have announced the 34 global players who will take part in the CFL Combine at Westin Harbour Castle and the Varsity Centre at the University of Toronto from March 25-27. Beginning in February, five CFL Global Combines spanned Europe and Asia to identify football talent playing outside North America.

The 2022 CFL Global Draft will take place on May 3.

This is the third season the CFL has held its Global Combine and notable players have come out of them including Winnipeg Blue Bombers two-time Grey Cup winning defensive end Thiadric Hansen.

Of the 34 hopefuls, 10 come from German Football League teams, six from the European League of Football, three from Mexico’s Liga de Futbol Americano, two from Japan’s XLeague, three from the British American Football Association, three from Finland’s Maple League, four from American colleges, one from a Canadian college, one from Norway, and one from Brazil.
