‘top European and American players to showcase their American Football abilities’
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Collegiate Development Football League recently, announced the second annual Euro-American Challenge International Scout Bowl will be held December 20, 2013 at Doug Shaw Stadium, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, 7 pm kickoff. The 2013 EAC game will again serve to provide a major opportunity for the top European and American players to showcase their football abilities. The game has drawn great support for the city of Myrtle Beach and the surrounding Grand strand area. This game has been scheduled in conjunction two collegiate all-star games being played in Myrtle Beach on the same weekend; the Fourth annual FCS Senior Scout Bowl, and the Third annual DII vs. NAIA Senior Bowl.
Three weeks ago, the Collegiate Development Football league announced Gus Ornstein as the Head Coach for the U.S. National team for the 2013 Euro-American Challenge Game. Last week, the USA team has added Barry Chait, a former NFL Strength and Conditioning Coach with the New York Jets to its staff. “Coach Chait will be an asset to the selected players on the USA National Team,” stated CDFL Sports Co- Founder/President Peter St Lawrence. He added, “Coach Chait combines NFL experience and a European football background, with training methods specific to football. His influence will improve the football skills and abilities of the elite level players on the USA team. In the months leading up to the 2013 EAC game he will provide preparation assistance to the USA national team players.”
The USA team practice and training facilities are located in Ramapo, New York. The strength and conditioning training headquarters for the USA team members are be located at Bare Fitness Training Center, home to Cross Fit of Orange County.
Barry Chait Background Information
Barry Chait has an M.A. from New York University and owns both CrossFit Orange NY and Bare Fitness. Coach Chait is CrossFit Football Certified, a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and a former Head Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the New York Jets. He’s also a former Fitness Coordinator for the NYPD, and has over twenty-five years of experience training individuals and athletic teams at various levels. In addition, he has worked in physical rehabilitation clinics, and as a personal trainer. Throughout his career, Barry has guided people to excel, with his strong work ethic and passion for winning.
The initial EAC game was played last year in Warsaw, Poland on 9/1/12 in front of 30,000 fans. Team America won 34-7, following a tight 7-7 deadlock at halftime. This Euro-American Challenge game is an annual event which brings the best available American free agent players, who have an interested in signing a European contract, against the best European players who are willing to be recruited by American scouts to play in North America.
