Canada’s Senior Men’s National Tackle Team Roster Set Ahead of International Play

After an extensive evaluation process, Football Canada is proud to announce the roster for the 2025 Senior Men’s National Tackle Team. The final squad consists of 45 active players and seven practice squad members, representing all regions of Canada.
Head Coach Jesse Maddox highlighted the rigorous selection process, which began with over 500 athletes participating in four identification camps across the country, as well as the Alumasafway Invitational Camp at the University of Waterloo in December.
“The talent at every camp was exceptional, making it an incredibly difficult task for our staff to narrow the roster down to just 45 players,” said Maddox. “We are confident that this group represents the best of Canadian football and will compete at the highest level.”
The team is now preparing for its first international qualification match against Italy in April—Canada’s first appearance in a senior men’s international tackle competition since 2011.
“We are excited for the challenge ahead,” Maddox added. “This roster is built to make a statement: Canada is back, and we are committed to setting the standard for Senior Men’s Tackle Football on the international stage.”
