Spain’s Badalona Dracs take on the Amsterdam Crusaders from Holland Saturday in the Big6 finale for both teams.
Both the Dracs and Crusaders were eliminated from title contention by the Braunschweig New Yorker Lions.
The Dracs were stunned 54-14 by the Lions while Amsterdam suffered a 20-6 defeat at the hands of the reigning Eurobowl champions.
Nevertheless, this is a game of pride. Both teams are reigning champions in their own countries and leading their respective leagues. The Dracs have finished the regular season in Spain with a 9-1 record and averaged 43 points a game. Amsterdam is undefeated in Holland after seven games and has scored 303 points while giving up a mere 21.
Amsterdam quarterback Keith Ray has been deadly and with weapons like receiver/returner Janawski Davis he leads a formidable attack. Dracs quarterback Sergio Gonzalo tops the Spanish league in touchdowns and yardage and wide receivers Hunter Lee and Joey Herrick make life tough for opposing secondaries.
This will be a fun game to watch.
