Bet On The Green Bay Packers To Win Super Bowl LI

With the NFL regular season kicking off, we’re here to analyse the most intriguing Super Bowl contenders’ futures odds, what teams you should bet on and why.

New England Patriots (+750): AFC Champions

Tom Brady, perhaps the greatest quarterback of all time, is suspended for the first four games of the season, and yet the New England Patriots still have the second best Super Bowl odds.

Once Brady returns, the Patriots will be equipped with a top-three offense and their defense seems to be perpetually underrated. Incredible depth, coupled with one of the easiest schedules, should propel New England to 12-win season. They’ll gain momentum and be a very difficult train to derail come playoff time. This is our pick to win the AFC Championship.

Green Bay Packers (+450): Super Bowl Champions

Aaron Rodgers is 32, but that’s not slowing him down in the least. He’s deservedly one of the league’s top quarterbacks. And from what we understand 32 is the new 22.

The Packer’s best receiver, Jordy Nelson, returns from injury and running back Eddie Lacy will be motivated and focused coming off a somewhat disappointing campaign.

The Packers’ young defense will gain more confidence after another season playing together and, with Minnesota losing Teddy Bridgewater, Green Bay’s path to the NFC North title is looking less arduous than ever, hence Bovada decreasing their Super Bowl odds from +850 to +450 in the previous week.

Combine that with an even easier schedule than even New England and you have your Super Bowl LI winner.

Seattle Seahawks (+1100): NFC Runners Up

seahawks-2016

After a slow start last year that saw the Seahawks win only two of their first four games, Seattle rebounded famously and ended up winning 10 games. The Seahawks ranked fourth in points scored and first in points conceded. Their defense will be even better in the 2016-17 season.

The Seahawks might just be the most balanced team in the NFL but we’re still waiting to see if the offense can thrive without Marshawn Lynch’s services. Russell Wilson and Doug Baldwin will once again have to mesh well together for the team to make a deep playoff run. The Seahawks’ defense is good enough to carry the team far, but not far enough to beat the Packers, so a lot hinges on how well their offense can perform on a weekly basis.

We think Seattle will enjoy an enviable campaign but fall short at the final hurdle to Green Bay.

Pittsburgh Steelers (+800): AFC Runners Up

steelers-2016

The Pittsburgh Steelers are nicely nestled in the top-five of Super Bowl odds, which in it’s own right is quite incredible. Martavis Bryant is suspended for the entire campaign, and Le’Veon Bell will probably miss the first four encounters.

Disconcerting for the rest of the NFL, the Steelers still the offensive depth to overcome these numerous drawbacks.

Antonio Brown is still considered to be a second-best wideout in football and Deangelo Williams is the best backup running back alive. He just needs to stay healthy, which can also be said for Ben Roethlisberger. Big Ben is still one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and will showcase that talent this season, so long as he doesn’t get hit with by the injury bug.

The Steelers, if the defense is able to regain their early-season form from last year, will push the Patriots for AFC plaudits. We don’t, however, see Pittsburgh getting over the final hurdle in the AFC Championship game against the Patriots.
