The Barcelona Dragons have issued a statement declaring that they will continue operations for the rest of the season despite the debacle last weekend in which the team forfeited the game against the Munich Ravens after trailing 54-0 at halftime.
The situation began with the resignation of former head coach David Shelton a few days prior to the scheduled game against the Ravens. Apparently the American import players then refused to play the game. Things deteriorated quickly during the game leading to the forfeit. Since then, more coaches and players have seemingly left the team leading to speculation that the team would suspend operations for the remainder of the season.
The Dragons are scheduled to face the Madrid Bravos this weekend in Barcelona.
