The creator and publisher of OhioVarsity.com, Hare has covered high school sports in Northeast Ohio since 1997. He began as a correspondent for the Lake County News Herald, where he contributed until 2011, primarily covering high school football and wrestling. From 1999-2017, Hare worked for IrishIllustrated.com, a member of the Rivals.com and Scout.com network of high school and college sports websites, with a focus on the University of Notre Dame football recruiting. His work led him across the United States to analyze the top high school football players in the country.
