Austrian champions, the Swarco Raiders, are turning into a pipeline to NCAA Division I schools with the signing of huge offensive tackle Thomas Aronokhale by the Ohio University Bobcats.
The Bobcats play in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) which also includes Bowling Green, Akron, Buffalo, Kent State, Miami, Central Michigan, Ball State, Eastern Michigan, Northern Illinois, Toledo and Western Michigan.
Aronokhale was assisted by Gridiron Imports, a program run by former NFL first round draft pick, Bjorn Werner (2013 NFL Draft, Indianapolis Colts).
The 6-3″, 295 lb Aronokhale, a native of Innsbruck, Austria, and product of the Swarco Raiders Tirol program, attended and played football at Linsly School in West Virginia in 2017 and 2018.
He was the team’s Block of Granite winner in 2018 after allowing zero sacks. In 2017, his junior year, he earned First Team All-Ohio Valley Athletic Conference honors.
