The Sonic Wall Mödling Rangers of the Austrian Football League have signed running back Lennies McFerren (Southeast Missouri State, NCAA Div. I FCS) for the 2020 season.
The 29 year old McFerren, 5’9″, 200 lb, is a native of New Madrid, Missouri, but now calls Paris, Tennessee as his hometown, He spent the 2019 season in the German Football League with the Allgäu Comets, rushing for 794 yards and eight touchdowns in 12 games. The year before, he played seven games with the Braunschweig New Yorker Lions before suffering an injury. He rushed for 412 yards and seven touchdowns. In 2017, while playing for the Ravensburg Razorbacks in the GFL2, he rushed for 1,985 yards and 26 touchdowns averaging 6.1 yards a carry.
In his senior year at Southeast Missouri State (2014) he rushed for 607 yards, averaging almost five yards a carry.
The Rangers finished the 2019 season with a 4-6 record and were eliminated in the Wild Card Playoff round by the Prague Black Panthers, 35-23. As a team, Mödling was fourth in rushing yards in Austria with 1,463 yards and 15 touchdowns.
