The explosive rate of growth of American football in China over the past five years has caught the attention of the world’s most popular news station, CNN. Recently CNN talked with Chris McLaurin, one of the co-founders of the American Football League of China and NFL legend Peyton Manning, who spent a week in China this past fall.
The American Football League of China was launched in 2011 and since then has grown into a 14 team league encompassing eight different cities. McLaurin and co-founder Zach Brown, still oversee a league which has grown increasingly “businesslike” in its organization and approach.
Check out the CNN story on the AFLC and Peyton Manning’s observations on the growth of the game in China.
