The Krakow Kings improved their record to 2-2 in handing the Warsaw Eagles their fourth straight defeat in Polish Football League play, blanking the Eagles 28-0. The win was important to Krakow, as it keeps them in the hunt for a playoff berth.
In Austria, the Dacia Vienna Vikings came back from a two touchdown halftime deficit to outscore the Projekt Spielberg Graz Giants 42-35 in overtime for their fifth consecutive win and remain unbeaten in Austrian Football League play.
In a battle of crosstown rivals, the Budapest Wolves scored 18 unanswered, second half points to down the Budapest Cowbells 30-13 in the Hungarian Football League.
The SsangYong Danube Dragons simply had too much firepower for the Modling Rangers in Austrian Football League midseason action, running out to a 33-0 lead before the Rangers scored a late, fourth quarter touchdown to make the final score 33-7. The win pulled the Dragons into third place in the standings with a 3-2 record.
In Italy, the Parma Panthers proved why they are unbeaten and sit atop the standings in Italy’s Division 1 with a 6-0 record by whipping the Bologna Warriors 45-12 in Bologna, Italy.
