AFI.tv offers jam-packed weekend of football as Finland and Sweden also kick off seasons

In the busiest weekend yet on AFI.tv, a total of 32 teams will square off in 16 games from eight different countries as American football explodes across Europe.

Finland’s Maple League opens the season with one game while the Swedish Superserien kicks off with two matchups. In addition, the German Football League, Danish National League, Italian Division 1, Hungarian Football League, Central European Football League and Polish Football League will all be in action on AFI.tv.

June 12

The defending Swedish champion Carlstad Crusaders head to Stockholm to face their arch rivals, the Stockholm Mean Machines in the opening game of the 2021 Swedish Superserien. Kickoff is 15:00 CET (3 pm, 09:00 am ET). The game is not available on AFI.tv to viewers inside Sweden.

The Uppsala 86ers will host the Orebro Black Knights in their first game of the Swedish season on Saturday, June 12 at 15:00 CET (3 pm, 09:00 am ET). The game is not available on AFI.tv to viewers inside Sweden.

The Krakow Kings play host to the Bialystok Lowlanders Saturday, June 12 and 15:00 CET (3 pm, 09:00 am ET) in a crucial matchup in the Polish Football League. Both teams are fighting for playoff positioning and a bye into the semifinals.

The Helsinki Wolverines and Porvoo Butchers kick off Finland’s 2021 Maple League season on June 12 when they face each other in Porvoo. Game time is Saturday, June 12 at 15:00 CET (3 pm, 09:00 am ET).

The Hungarian Football League features its game of the season when the defending champion Fehervar Enthroners host the Győr Sharks on Saturday, June 12 at 15:00 CET (3 pm, 09:00 am ET).

The Frankfurt Universe will try to improve on their performance from Week 1 in the German Football League when they host the Saarland Hurricanes on June 12 at 16:00 CET (4 pm, 10:00 am ET).

The Potsdam Royals will be aiming for their second straight win when they host the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes in German Football League action, June 12 at 16:30 CET (4:30 pm, 10:30 am ET).

In the return game, the Dresden Monarchs will be looking for revenge at home after losing to the Cologne Crocodiles last week in the GFL season opener for both teams. Kickoff is 16:45 CET (4:45 pm, 10:45 am ET).

The Stuttgart Scorpions and Marburg Mercenaries will both be looking for their first win of the young season in the German Football League when they square off in Stuttgart, June 12 at 17:00 CET (5 pm, 11:00 am, ET).

The defending GFL champion Braunschweig New Yorker Lions will play host to the Berlin Rebels in the first game of the GFL season for both teams, June 12 at 18:00 CET (6 pm, 12:00 noon ET).

In Italy’s Division 1, the unbeaten Parma Panthers open their “clock tournament” by facing the visiting Milano Seamen on June 12 at 18:00 CET (6 pm, 12:00 noon ET). The Panthers are the only team that Milano has lost to so this will be a good one.

The Triangle Razorbacks and AaB 89ers wind up AFI.tv’s full slate of games on June 12 with a matchup in Aalborg, Denmark. The 89ers have lost both of their games so far in the Danish National League season while the Razorbacks are also looking for their first win. Game time is 19:00 CET (7 pm, 1:00 pm ET).

June 13

The Polish Football League is heading into the home stretch with playoff berths at stake. The unbeaten Bydgoszcz Archers will visit the Silesia Rebels Katowice in a crucial matchup for the Rebels. Game time is Sunday, June 13 at 13:00 CET (1 pm, 07:00 am ET).

The Lazio Ducks and Milano Rhinos will square off in the first game of the Italian “clock tournament” for both teams. Kickoff is Sunday, June 13 at 14:00 CET (2 pm, 08:00 am ET).

Switzerland’s Calanda Broncos will host the Schwabisch Hall Unicorns in a Central European Football League matchup Sunday, June 13 at 15:00 CET (3 pm, 09:00 am ET). This is a semifinal as the quarterfinal matchups for both teams were cancelled due to COVID-19.

The Munich Cowboys will be looking for their second straight win in the German Football League when they visit the Ravensburg Razorbacks Sunday, June 13 at 15:00 CET (3 pm, 09:00 am ET).
