AFI.tv kicks off biggest weekend of the year with games from Germany, Austria, Poland, Hungary and Denmark
The German Football League kicks off their season on AFI.tv this weekend with six games as the busiest weekend of the year is set to go.
Along with the GFL, we will have three games from the Austrian Football League, a pair of Polish Football League contests, a postseason game from the Hungarian Football League and a key matchup from Denmark.
Friday, June 4
The Schwabisch Hall Unicorns kick off the German Football League season Friday, June 4 with a rare evening game as the Ravensburg Razorbacks pay a visit. Kickoff is 6:30 pm CET (18:30, 12:30 pm ET). The game will only be available on Sport 1 Live in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Saturday, June 5
The Swarco Raiders will tangle with the SsangYong Danube Dragons Saturday, June 5 is a key matchup in the Austrian Football League. A win by Danube puts them in 2nd place in the AFI standings ahead of Swarco as the season heads into the final month.
The Austrian Football League features another crucial game as the Dacia Vienna Vikings will put their unbeaten record (5-0) on the line against the Projekt Spielberg Graz Giants, Saturday, June 5 at 17:00 CET (5 pm, 11:00 am ET).
The Prague Black Panthers will face the improved Mödling Rangers for the second time in a week Saturday, June 5 at 15:00 CET (3 pm, 09:00 am ET). The Panthers won last week’s game 27-20 and Mödling will definitely be fighting for their first win of the year.
In a GFL North clash, the Dresden Monarchs head to Cologne to take on the Cologne Crocodiles, Saturday, June 5 at 15:00 CET (3 pm, 09:00 am ET).
The Fehervar Enthroners take on the Budapest Wolves in the first post season game of the Hungarian Football League, Saturday, June 5 at 16:00 CET (4 pm, 10:00 am ET).
The Polish Football League heads into the home stretch this weekend as the undefeated Bydgoszcz Archers (4-0) will host the unbeaten Tychy Falcons (4-0) in a battle for first place. Game time, Saturday, June 5, 16:00 CET (4 pm, 10:00 am ET)
The Munich Cowboys and Frankfurt Universe face each other in the first GFL game of the season for both teams. Kickoff is Saturday, June 5 at 16:00 CET (4 pm, 10:00 am ET)
The German Football League season opener for the Saarland Hurricanes and Stuttgart Scorpions is Saturday, June 5 at 18:00 CET (6 pm, 12:00 pm ET).
The Danish National League winds up a full slate of Saturday games on AFI.tv with the 0-1 AaB 89ers playing host to the Søllerød Gold Diggers who open their season on the road. Kickoff is Saturday, June 5, 19:00 CET (7 pm, 1 pm ET)
Sunday, June 6
In a battle of two winless teams in the Polish Football League, and a crosstown rivalry, the Warsaw Mets will host the Warsaw Eagles, Sunday, June 6 at 14:00 CET (2 pm, 08:00 am ET)
The Allgau Comets will travel to Marburg, Germany to play the Marburg Mercenaries to wind up the season opening weekend in the German Football League. Game time is Sunday, June 6 at 16:00 CET (4 pm, 10:00 am ET)
