This week’s special edition of AFI Live on Europe will cover the opening of the new season in Finland with coaches from each of the teams on hand.
Six coaches – Juha Hakala from Finland’s defending champion Helsinki Roosters, head coach Michael Mattingly of the Helsinki Wolverines, Pekka Utriainen head coach of the Kuopio Steelers, John Booker, offensive coordinator of the Wasa Royals, Samu Juppo, head coach of the Seinäjoki Crocodiles and Mika Ahonen ,head coach of the Porvoon Butchers will discuss the upcoming Finnish Maple League season which kicks off July 30 and what life has been like trying to prepare for a historic, “post COVID-19 lockdown” season.
This is a very special and historic show in that Finland’s Maple League will be the first American football league in the world to play since the pandemic struck in mid March.
