Team Denmark plays host to the Czech Republic, Sunday, April 20 at the Vejle Atletik Stadion as the 2024/25 IFAF European Junior Football Championships continue.

Denmark, who won the bronze medal the last time out, dropped a heart-breaking 27-26 decision to Italy this past fall after holding a six point lead with 18 seconds left on the clock. The loss eliminated the Danes from the medal round.

The Czechs head into this game hoping to cause an upset away to a Danish squad that has seen success in previous tournaments winning the bronze twice before..

“It will be a long trip, but our players are motivated and committed to giving their best,” said Czechia head coach Jan Štiegler. “We understand our role as underdogs, but we believe in the path we’ve set few years ago – one that brought us a great win against Belgium last year and Spain and the Swiss national team the year before. This game is another important step in continuing that journey.”
