Linebacker among 18 global players drafted from nine countries
The Edmonton Elks selected American Samoan linebacker Eteva Mauga-Clements with the first overall selection in the 2024 Canadian Football League (CFL) Global Draft.
At No. 2, the Ottawa REDBLACKS drafted Australian punter Matt Hayball before Samoan defensive lineman Tyrone Taleni was taken by the Saskatchewan Roughriders to round out the Top-3 selections.
